International students must apply for a visa to enter China at the Chinese embassy or consulate in their home country. 签证类型：由于非学习签证在中国境内不能变更为居留许可，为引起不必要的麻烦，请同学们务必申请X1或X2签证入境。

Visa Types: Since non-study visas cannot be converted into residence permits while in China, students are strongly advised to apply for either an X1 or X2 visa for entry to avoid any unnecessary complications.

（1）在华学习时间超过半年的学生须持 “X1”签证入境。

    (1)Students planning to study in China for more than six months must enter with an "X1" visa.

X1字签证，发给申请在中国境内长期学习的人员。持X1学习签证入境后，签证有效期为30天，必须在入境后30天之内前往留学生办公室申请办理居留许可证件，不能变更为其他任何类型的签证。在办理居留证件前，学生还需要提供由西安市出入境检验检疫部门开具的健康证明。因此，学校建议同学们不要太早入境，因为您只能在学校报到后才有资格申请办理居留许可。

The X1 visa is issued to those intending to study in China for an extended period. Upon entry with an X1 visa, the visa is valid for 30 days, during which you must apply for a residence permit from the International Student Office within 30 days of arrival. This visa cannot be changed to any other type. Before applying for the residence permit, students must also provide a health certificate issued by the Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau in Xi'an. Therefore, the school recommends that students do not arrive too early, as you can only apply for the residence permit after registering at the school.

（2）在华学习时间小于180天的同学可以持“X2”签证入境。(2)Students planning to study in China for less than 180 days can enter with an "X2" visa.

X2字签证，发给申请在中国境内短期学习的人员。X2字签证的有效期会标明在签证页上，自入境当日起可以停留指定的天数，最长不超过180天。如在8月25日持有效期为90天的X2签证入境，最长可以停留至当年的11月23日。持X2签证入境的同学们，无需办理居留许可证件。另外，请同学们注意，X2签证只能往返中国一次。

+The X2 visa is issued to those intending to study in China for a short term. The validity period will be specified on the visa page, indicating the number of days you can stay after entry, with a maximum stay of 180 days. For example, if you enter China on August 25 with a 90-day X2 visa, the latest you can stay is November 23 of the same year. Students entering with an X2 visa do not need to apply for a residence permit. Additionally, please note that the X2 visa allows for entry to and exit from China only once.

4、在您取回护照及领取入华签证的同时，请确保使馆把您的录取通知书及JW201/JW202表原件归还给您。这是您来华后申请办理居留许可时，所需要提供给公安局的重要文件。

When you collect your passport and the entry visa for China, please ensure that the embassy returns your original admission notice and the JW201/JW202 form. These documents are essential for applying for a residence permit with the Public Security Bureau after arriving in China.
